High school students get excited about math, science

Recent article about our science and mathematics programs:
Valparaiso University botanist Robert Swanson talks to
high school students in the greenhouse at VU. Nearly 100
high school students from Northwest Indiana toured VU and
heard about teaching careers in science and math.

VALPARAISO | Nearly 100 high school students from across Northwest Indiana were awestruck when college students started off a career day by making a rocket out of a Pringles can and launching it 30 feet into the air, then rounded out the demonstration by playing with liquid nitrogen and shattering flowers, a racquet ball and pieces of fruit.
